About Suzanne

Suzanne Elsworth – freelance writer – communications specialist – cake lover. I write stuff… everything from lifestyle features in high-end glossy magazines to brochures about bath taps. I work with television and radio teams too, like ITV, the BBC and production companies, to help them find great tales.

It’s all about the story, whether I’m wittering on websites, or nattering in newsletters. Profile pieces and event programmes, ghostwriting or guidebooks, case studies and chatty blog posts, they’re all part of my repertoire. Heck, I’ve even written labels for fish packaging.

Oh, and I edit other people’s words too. Like magazines and newspapers, big corporate reports or tiny pieces of marketing text. And I translate stuff – not foreign languages – I mean technical documents or complicated academic research, just so the rest of us can understand them.

I’ve been writing professionally for more than 20 years and I reckon I can make a story out of anything. When I’m not creating copy for newspapers and magazines, I work with universities and event organisers, law firms and food producers, charities and councils, construction companies, manufacturers and retailers.

I thrive on a tight deadline and I’m confident under pressure. I like straight talking, loath acronyms and jargon, and love to laugh. Oh, and cake. I really do love cake.

My first book, A Practical Guide to Camping, was published in August 2022 – Buy it here!

So, if you need some help with your words for your brochures, advertising, website or blog, or even some creative social media posts, drop me a line or give me a call. Or, if you’re a broadcaster in need of ideas, I’m available. I’m based on the edge of the English Lake District but am more than happy to travel.
